JAZZ AT THE STOCK EXCHANGE

When you survey the palatial new stock exchange building in Frankfurt, built at a cost of &60 million, the least likely manifestations you would expect to find taking place behind its elegant portals would be a series of jazz concerts.

But the fact is that, since September 1999, the Borse has been presenting jazz sessions, exclusively for the stock exchange staff and their friends, under the banner, “Thank God, its Friday!“--celebrating the fact that, after a hard week monitoring the movements of the stock market, the staff can relax and enjoy some excellent jazz music.
